Oliver worked closely with cartoonist and writer Lynda Barry at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his visual poetry has been featured by the Adirondack Review, Alaska Quarterly Review, Hobart, The Rumpus, School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and Thrush Poetry Journal. He was invited to participate in The Rumpus’ Poetry Comics Roundtable in 2016, and he has been invited to present and teach on poetry comics at a selection of institutions including University of Wisconsin-Madison, Mount Holyoke College, and Sarah Lawrence College.
